Spa day at Pensacola Pontoons

Spring fun is not cancelled at Pensacola Pontoons!

Lately we have received several calls asking if we will remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yes, we are open! Our boats will be on the water every day until the fall. We have performed several in-depth studies of the area. No Coronavirus has been found in the middle of Pensacola Bay or in the surrounding waters. According to the CDC the virus spreads best in closed, crowded settings with little ventilation. Our boats provide the next best place besides home to weather the pandemic. They are well ventilated, disinfected after each use, far from crowded and disease-free.

As has always been our policy we clean our boats every day and maintain them expertly. You will have a worry-free boat rental from us without lasting health effects except the benefit of relaxation and a good time on the water (and possibly a sunburn).

Pensacola, Pensacola Beach, and Perdido Key

An excellent interactive map that combines information from the World Health Organization, US and European CDCs and the National Health Commission of China shows there are no active, confirmed, or recovered COVID-19 cases or deaths in Escambia County as of Saturday, March 14. Escambia County includes Pensacola, Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key. The map includes information about Florida, the US and the world and tracks confirmed cases, recoveries and deaths. It can be referenced in real time on the Coronavirus Contagion: Active Cases Map from the Pensacola News Journal.

Gulf Breeze and Navarre

As of Friday March 13 per the Santa Rosa County Department of Emergency Management, Santa Rosa County remains in the “None to Minimal” phase of monitoring and preparedness of the CDC’s Mitigation Strategy for Florida. Gulf Breeze and Navarre are in Santa Rosa County. Santa Rosa had one case of COVID-19 in a traveler that cruised on the Nile River prior to becoming ill. There has been no community spread. All areas of Navarre Park, Navarre Beach, Gulf Breeze parks and Pensacola Beach are open at this time. Find the latest updates from Santa Rosa County Department of Emergency Management on their COVID-19 Updates page.

At this time visiting the Greater Pensacola Beach area remains a low risk adventure. The federal government does not recommend limiting domestic travel. We look forward to providing you a clean boat for your vacation or staycation. Check out our local places to explore on our Things to See page.

Of course, we encourage all of our customers to take appropriate preventative measures to stay healthy. Wash your hands, get enough rest, avoid ill people and large gatherings. We will continue to keep our boats spotlessly clean and hygienic for you.
